Visa option for Europe

To study in Europe, a student needs to apply for a student Schengen Visa. The holder of this type of visa is allowed to stay and study in the country which granted the permission for enrolment, issued by the school. The holder of this visa is not permitted permanent residence and involves certain restrictions.

This visa can be extended once it expires, and if a student is accepted into his visa program, he or she can apply for a residency permit.

Once a student has received an offer of admission or an admission letter, he or she can apply for this visa.

To obtain the Visa, a student needs to meet the following requirements:

  • Visa application form for selected country
  • Proof of meeting the age requirement of the country
  • Valid passport
  • Valid documentation from a European university
  • Documents and evidence of adequate finances to meet your expenses
  • Flight tickets
  • Proof of meeting the language requirement

Anyone who meets the criteria and requirements set by the European countries can work in Europe.

To get a visa for Europe, an employee needs to meet the following requirements:

Meet the criteria for an EU work visa. Some countries will require you to get a job before applying for a visa.

  • Collect the required documents for an employment visa.
  • Schedule a visa interview.
  • Attend the interview with all the required documents with you.
  • Wait for your visa to be processed.

To apply for the visa employee needs to submit their visa application to the body that represents the country where they will be working, in their country of residence. This body could be one of the following:

  • Their embassy
  • Their consulate
  • A visa application center

Most European Work Visas are valid for one year. Still, in most countries, the visa holders have the chance to apply for a visa extension, upon the expiration of their visa.

Requirements of the European Visa are:

  • Fully completed application form
  • Passport photos
  • Valid passport
  • Roundtrip flight reservation
  • Travel medical insurance
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Employment contract
  • Proof of academic qualification
  • Proof of language proficiency

The dependents of the employee can apply for their visa. Their visa usually receives a visa that lasts for the same time as the primary visa holder.

If someone wants to enter Europe to reach another destination, they need a category A Or B visa.

Category A Visa: This is an airport transit visa. This visa serves individuals who are ‘passing through the international transit area of airports during a stop-over or transfer between two sections of an international flight.’ European countries have different rules for their visas depending on the cities.

Category B Visa: This too is a transit visa that lasts for only five days. This visa is needed by individuals who need to pass through the Schengen area to travel between two non-Schengen visa countries. Even if you are not planning to stay in the Schengen area, you would still need to have this visa.

If someone wants to enter Europe for travel and tourism purposes then they need to apply for a category C Visa: “C” category stands for a Short-term visa which allows its holder to reside in a Schengen Area for a certain period depending on the visa validity.

A lot of factors come into play including English and foreign language requirements to get your visa approved.
